NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), Level 3
The world's most widely recognised entry-level qualification in occupational health and safety.
Overview
The NEBOSH International General Certificate is one of the most respected health and safety qualifications available anywhere, and the natural starting point for anyone building a career in occupational health and safety, or looking to strengthen safety management within their own organisation.
The course combines the theory of hazard identification and risk management with practical, workplace-based application, so what you learn in the classroom is immediately usable on site. It suits complete beginners as well as experienced professionals who want a formally recognised qualification to back up years of hands-on experience.
At IISC, the IGC is delivered by trainers who have worked in health and safety roles themselves, with structured revision and mock assessments built into the study plan so you arrive at both units prepared.
What is NEBOSH?
NEBOSH is an independent UK awarding organisation that develops globally recognised qualifications in health, safety, environmental management and risk management. It sets the syllabus and marks every assessment itself, which is why the certificate carries the same weight wherever in the world it is awarded.
Employers in more than 130 countries, across both public and private sectors, use NEBOSH qualifications as a benchmark when hiring for safety-related roles, which is what makes the IGC such a portable qualification for anyone planning to work internationally.
